476 inch elk, was #6 world record. Taken with an original Sharps 1874 sporting rifle (.45-.70), iron sites at 204 yards. (all original except the butt.) Incredible rifle. We found his sheds last winter and spotted him twice, once in the spring, once in August. There were a number of really nice bulls in the area but we were holding out for the big guy.
